Is it worth paying the extra money for a carbon fiber wrapped barrel? Going to use it for target and hunting. Whats the advantage or disadvantage other than money.
There's different qualities of CF wrapped barrels. Some companies just wrap in CF, apply resin, and that's it. Good CF wraps have an additive in the resin that dissipates heat (372% according to bettin custom guns) faster than steel. CF wraps can give you a thinner barrel that will perform similar to a thicker barrel because of the strong tinisle strength of CF. At least that what I'm getting from some sites on Google.

I had some Krieger's done a few years ago and was not at all suppressed. One was setup for a suppressor and it had very large POI shifts and none were real accurate shooters.
