It is more difficult than with the standard loops. However it is still doable.
On my personal rifles, once I set the LOP I generally don't readjust it unless I drastically change the configuration of the rifle. This makes it a non-issue. However if it's an agency rifle where several shooters will check it out, then I would only use a plate on one side or just use the forward plate.
