A friend of mine picked up a 450 Bushmaster upper. He's talking about loading up some cast lead and slinging them @~2300fps. My first thought was that these things were going to come apart. I have no experience with cast bullets. I had in the back of my mind that there was a speed limit to cast stuff. He said if it has a gas check or they are powder coated it will be fine. The powder coat I could see but would a gas check really keep the thing together? Again no real experience. I'm trying to learn.
