Has anyone had anyone had any problems loading CCI Bench Rest primers in semi auto rifles? ( AR10 M1As ) Any slam fire issues.

I love reading how we are not supposed to use Winchester primers in AR based weapons because of slam fires due to it's floating firing pin, can slam fires happen, yes they can, does it matter what brand of primer you use to prevent slam fires, no it doesn't, at least not in my experience, I have loaded for AR10 and AR15's, and M1A's, take care of your weapon and it will take care of you. Also my targets and chronograph tell me there is no difference in Fed 210/210m and CCI 200/BR2 so save your money.

CCI had a recall and stopped production on the BR-2s in either late 2009, or early 2010 (IIRC) due to 'sensitivity' issues.
You can call them to get further clarification on my comments.
It could be that you have some primers from that run, if in fact I'm correct.

CCI-BR primers are the only ones that I use. I use them for my bolt rifles and hunting loads. I have a long range AR-15 and a Ar-10 also and no problems with slam fires or miss fires due to primers

Just make sure they seat correctly (not proud of case head) and you should be ok. Also, because the M1A/M14 (Garand) design ultilizes a floating firing pin make sure it floats feely.
