Does anyone know who might have CCI Br4 small rifle primer in stock? I cant find them anywhere. For that matter I cannot find any small rifle primers. Primers were the last thing I thought would be a hoarded item with this COVID pandemic

Only way to find them is go on cci website find find dealers in your area & surrounding areas. I called more than 10 places & finally found a shop with some. I had to travel a little bit but I found some. Online they are gone everywhere except some shops in Canada but they are expensive

If you have $$$ to burn gunbroker has br4 primers for around $200-300 per 1000 ct box. Apparently people are buying them up too. BR2/4, cci 400/450, & fed 205M/210M are selling for $200-300 a 1000 ct & around $1500 a 5000 ct box. Crazy but I’ve been watching them sell at these crazy prices on gunbroker

Primers are 3-5c / ea when they are easy to find. There’s no reason to not have 5000-10000 on the shelf at all times. It sounds like the primer shortage is going to be worse this time around (compared to Obama, which was really really bad), so good luck. I do not suggest paying gunbroker prices, instead call local shops and buy what you can.

New to reloading here... got all my equipment except primers😔
I said in an earlier post go on cci & federal site & find local dealers. Check them as often as you can. Also check ammoseek. I check ammoseek multiple times a day & got lucky a month ago. Also got lucky using ammoseek to find h4895 last week & varget the month before. Worst case scenario you go on gunbroker & pay the outrageous price. If you have cheap ammo pull the bullet, resize, fill & seat. Surprisingly I’ve had some good groups pulling 855 lake city & others by resizing & seating. I just wanted to see how accurate I could get pulled ammo to do & was surprised at how good they were. Some of these options aren’t great but there’s not much else you can do

I just swung by a small city sporting goods store and found some primers today. They are out there just gotta be watching for them, online and storefronts

i'm pretty much in that same boat! good news is i have enough ammo to tide me over til primers (hopefully) re-appear. fortunately a buddy spotted me a few hundred primers so at least i can try to work up a load or two while i'm waiting.

Not easy to find but like you said you have check everything. A friend of mine found some last week at big 5. I completely forgot about big 5. I’ve been checking my local stores for h4895 & varget. Some finally came in & I got 10lbs of varget & 10lbs of h4895 2 days ago. Persistence

that’s a good score!!

It’s out there, just have to be at the right place at the right time, which requires an open or flexible schedule. I see a ton of wives at the sporting good stores with “shopping lists” wandering the reloading aisle 😂
