Getting ready to put together a AR 6.8 Rifle.

I'm leaning toward Cerakoteing the rifle due to the fact it is basically going to be a 4 Wheeler / Truck Gun.

Question if I go with a Daniel Defense Rail and recievers... Will a propertly applied coat of Cerakote Paint be tougher than the Type III andoizing most of the rails and recievers have??..

The Cerakote will go over the anodizing, so you will be getting the best of both worlds. To answer your question, the anodizing is much more durable when done properly as the Cerakote is only as durable as the material it is covering. Anodizing increases the surface hardness of the aluminum.
