Hey guys,

I wanted to cerakote my Vortex bubble level to match the rest of my rig.

I thought it was going to be a straight forward take out the snap ring and pull the level out.

Well apparently it isn't that easy, it appears to be glued in there in some way.

Does anyone know where it is glued or the easiest way to remove the level WITHOUT breaking it?

Any help would be great, appreciate it in advance.

Re: Cerakoting Vortex Bubble Level

I dont know about taking it out as I do not have one. But could you not just cover the bubble with painters tape, cerakote, and bake at a lower temp? Im sorry if this is a dumb answer as I have never owned a vortex bubble lever nor cerakoted anything.
Hope you find your answer.

Will

You can still blast it, just pay attention and mask well. The thing that I would worry about is how is the fluid held in the tube? With added heat you may soften the plugs while adding pressure from the expansion of the liquid....food for thought.

Sounds like words of experience.
