After looking at all the options for mounting a scope on a CETME model C in 308 caliber I finally found one that is the least hassle to install, does not depend on a friction grip only, is reasonably priced and does not require any modifications to the gun or drilling holes in the thin sheet metal receiver. MFI is the company selling this.

This mount is very well thought out and of quality construction. It is long enough to take any length scope. It is nice to see that there are still company's who will manufacture a quality product. I gunsmith for a living and have been doing this for over 40 years. I see a lot of junk on the market. Especially from China. This is a small company but they have big pride in producing a quality product. 20200929_131713.jpg

Thanks for the post & idea Bluefield & I ran into trouble in years past with Chinese junk as well. I also purchased the The MFI Cetme 6.2” scope mount and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to add an optic to a CETME.

My CETME has garbage trigger (knew it when I bought it but picked mine up for < $200 at a gun show several years back so knew I was getting a cheap gun) but my Cetme shoots suprisingly good groups for a cheap rifle provided the shooter sticks with fundamentals - even better after putting an optic on MFI Cetme mount! This mount hooks around the rear sight post and holds position just fine with a small air gap between bottom of mount and upper receiver.

i had tried a couple of claw style mounts several years ago with no luck (mount always moved when shooting). Install was easy and this breathed some life into an old rifle. Good product.

highly recommend the MFI mount for anyone looking for a Cetme scope mounting option. Good quality, reasonable price and fast shipping. I had given up on optics for Cetme until finding this so thanks again Bluefield!
