Hello Everyone
I bought a case (200 rds) 140 gr Fusion SP in 6.5CM . I got them at a great price.

I would like to pull the SP bullets and replace them with 140gr Hornady BTHP's

What do you think?? I do not want to hurt my rifle
I still can not find the Ogive for this rifle.........another 200 rounds and I will pull the barrel and slug the dang thing.....

Have you tried the Fusion in your rifle yet? If there are no pressure issues, you should have no worries swapping bullets as long as seating depth isn’t deeper than the Fusion SP. use Hornady load data. I had to do this with the S&B 6.5 CM 140 FMJ because i had very heavy bolt lift. Swapped them out with 120 SMK @ Sierra load data seating depth. Had great results. Only cartridge I’ve ever had to mess with.

Late to your party, but what I do when I get a good buy on my 6.5CM is just shoot them. Improve my marksmanship. I can use them for cold bore and foulers. When done, I have fire formed brass to load with components, and I use Hornady's 140gn HPBT Match bullets, I do want to shoot seriously with. One such kind I look to buy on sale is 200 rds at a time of Hornady's American Gunner, 140 HPBT, .580BC, 2690 MV. $0.70 a round. (Sportsmans Warehouse)

A good buy on ammunition is reduced by my having to replace the bullets (by buying others). Plus the time in pulling and reseating. So that is not something I do. But each to their own. I think two posters not late to the party gave you good advice. :) lg

Fusion is Federal and that is good ammo. This particular round is more for hunting and also has a comparatively low BC. But, good MV and should be great getting some trigger time in with. I'm sure Federal kept within SAAMI pressure specs building this round, so don't expect it to hurt your rifle.
