I have read about the RPR barrel swap to a GM barrel, BUT not finding any videos or text concerning removing and reinstalling the barrel nut. I measured the nut and it is an odd size and I'm concerned about how to hold the action and not damage it when removing the barrel nut.

Please tell me what you used and how.

Barrel vise/action wrench/ ar tool, all ive used and needed for allot of barrels..(barrels are like tires?)

Hi Travelor

I was actually able to get a better bite on it with a large crescent wrench than my armors wrench. I expected the worse when pulling mine but it wasn't torqued that heavily, just chucked up in a barrel vise and removed the barrel nut. I reinstalled to about 30 ft# of torque.
