Chargemaster 1500 upgrades

There are a bunch of YouTube videos that demonstrate the settings to change and how to do that. They are kinda fiddly - meaning optimized for one powder isn’t optimized for another. I messed around for a while one evening and found a good setting “in the middle” that works for mmiddle sizes case capacities of 4350/4895 and small case capacity of CFE 223 / 2000MR and such.

Couple other tricks - leave it on all the time, or at least give it an hour or so to warm up before use. Plug into a good power source (conditioned if possible) and avoid circuits with AC, fluorescent lights, and keep cell phones and such several feet away. Run a calibration before each use, esp during load development and watch for drift. I also added a ferrite conditioner to my power cord (the small loop on computer cables).

The reducers do work. I used a straw for a long time and they are adequate. @LRI makes a very nice one. There is a member here that makes a set as well. Got mine from him - @MDM
Hope this is helpful.
