So im watching the new show chase about the us marshalls and they are getting ready to raid a town home in search of a fugitive. The senior team member specifically tells the younger deputy to switch to an AR15 from the 9mm (im assuming refrencing a sub gun not just side arm) because the walls in a town home are thin and they dont want over penwtration. Am I wrong but isnt that completely backwards?

Re: Chase

I saw this too. Also when she stops the civy vehicle in the road with weapon drawn and covering the driver until he got out, not sure a drawn weapon would be used, grounds for many law suites.

Its TV and entertainment, and the director has to add drama, thrills, oooo factor whether right or wrong. Just because there is a technical adviser does not mean everything is correct with safe firearm handling.

I like the show, its all just entertainment to me, fun to watch.

Re: Chase

I've seen testing where the .223 round actually breaks up & fragments faster & quicker inside typical houses & has less penetration than handgun rounds.....
