First off, thank you to everyone who has had patience and answered my many questions, some of them borderline stupid, as I cobble together my first bolt gun and enter the world of long range shooting...
I finally have my rifle, a Remington 700 SPS Tactical AAC-SD, on the way along with a Timney trigger, Nightforce base, and Leupold Mk 4 rings. My intent is to mount the scope and shoot the rifle as is when I get it. After that I'll install the trigger before shooting it again to see the difference in accuracy. After that I plan on dropping it into a chassis system and again seeing how accuracy improves. And there is my question... I'm looking at the XLR Evolution, XLR Element, KRG Whiskey 3, and McCree G5 systems. The XLR Element has my attention the most, but my question for those who have hands on experience with any of these systems is what do you prefer and why? What about a particular system do you like over the others and why should I choose it? Also, for those who dropped a stock action/barrel into these systems how did it, and by how much, did it improve your accuracy?
Thanks again!
