Cheap Big TVs at Walmart

Cheap because they spy on you and use the info to make their profit. Also some guy in an aphabit agency is likely whacking off to your wife walking around naked. If its an Evil (Dem) agent well they are likely looking at you not the wife. :)

If you get any of those Vizio or other bottom run name brand TVs, just never use the "smart" functions of it. Be sure to never connect it up to your home internet or let it get a wifi connection to anywhere. Then you should be okay.

Otherwise the TVs will report back on everything you watch to the servers in China and they then sell that information to advertiser groups.
(Some more sneaky ones attempt to inject little ads into your menus and channel guides also).

The Samsung / Sony and similar ones keep a bit tighter control of the data to protect their reputation and their link to their customers.

Samsung's and the newer 4g branded smart models are still loaded with spyware . They just don't bury it as deep in the Meno fungtion and you can take an hour of your life to track-down and Opt. out . But when linking up with modem, using all the other goodies on the newer Samsung's like chromecast and Bluray ...etc. is pretty user friendly . And the hand remotes are pretty user friendly also . Also the inboard speakers are not shabby .

Uh, well, I don't know much about the spyware shit, but I have a Vizeo 60" that has been a decent TV for the last 3 years. If the chinks want to watch me raging at BF1 thats ok, might scare the shit out of the little fuckers.

I'm not sure about TV's, but almost every laptop screen I have replaced has been made by Samsung, regardless of the external branding.

There is only a handful of companies that actually run the factories that make the screens, so pretty much every screen these days will be made by one of that small group.

Samsung is also one of the handful of big boys running the cutting edge chip fabs

The only good part about all their spying is that it can be a bit of a terrible job for those that have to go through all the spying data.

There were stories (who knows if they are fully true) that some NSA analysts really got tired of seeing pictures of fat ugly people doing "personal" things, when spying on everyone's web cams. As well as some of the Facebook censors getting a bit tired of some of the more ugly stuff that Muslims did or evil people did to kids, which they accidentally ran across while engaging in their primary duty of hunting down conservatives, free thinkers, and right leaning folks to ban.

I could give a shit if they see me naked or pick my nose. But someday I may say something controversial or they may need something from me. Then they will go back and find something you don't want known about you. Could be anything not even criminal like we saw you rip that tag off the mattress.

That's how Obama got the Rinos, the Dems and mostly the Press to bow at his kingly feet. The U.S. Constitution says not so fast there cowboy. Obama learned and knew the Constitution so he could know how to destroy it. The Patriot Act by Bush gave bammy the tools. The Patriot Act itself is un-Contitutional and the greatest threat to privacy ever created. With the Internet being #2.

The Constitution was written to prevent them from doing exactly what they are doing. We either ensure that they fix it, or be enslaved by them.

Back to TV'S I've got a couple. :)

Yet another reason why ceiling mount projectors are the ONLY way to go. In about eleventy different ways.

Or just a really good flat panel TV that is older and doesn't have any of the spy capabilities in it.
I have an old Sharp one that is going strong many years later, I prefer the picture on it & the functionality of the menus and such to most of the cheaper range of modern stuff.

I’m pretty sure I will never get laid again if I take the wife’s streaming away. :)

You can simply make sure the TV can't access the internet in any possible way, then hook up a dedicated box or device of your choosing to stream to the TV, there are tons of choices each with their pick of who gets the data (somebody is going to get some data at least, if nothing else, the companies providing the streaming services will know what they streamed to you and what streams you watched, when and for how long).
