I wanted an inexpensive, lightweight tripod that takes down pretty small. Mostly for hunting. The other post about innorel tripods pointed me to look at their other offerings. The RT85c seemed to be worth the risk. At $252 delivered with a ballhead. It seemed like a bargain. Worst case is that it ends up pulling spotting scope duty.

Received this yesterday and I'm pretty pleased with it. it folds down to 19.5 inches and extends well above 6 foot with the center column installed and raised. It does get a little less stable with the smallest 4th section of legs extended. However you can leave them pushed in unless you are standing. The tripod also goes dow low enough to shoot prone, and picks on thar position. The ball head seems pretty smooth while its new and, and locks down tight with a slight turn of the knob. Hopefully it holds up in the dirt. The head also pans. The legs lock with less than half turn on the collars. It also comes with spike feet AMD a live padded carry case. If needed, one leg will screw off and you can use it as a monopod. It comes with a small 3 legged base for more stability as a monopod. The ballhead also attaches to it.

Holds my 20 pound match rifle with ease and seems like a great option for shooters on a budget . Time will tell how it holds up. I'll update this post with more pics and likes/dislikes as they arise.

Nice write up. Pretty much seals the deal on me jumping on this model but with a RRS head.

They also sell just the tripod on Ali Express for 180 FYI.

a few more pics.

This package includes mini tripod stand that can be used as a base for the monopod option. One leg removes from the main tripod and serves as a monopod. Pic below shows my rifle on that stand, but its definately not solid enough to be constantly used that way. That mini tripod may be useful as a tabletop spotter or rangefinder stand. I

Ill be getting a leofoto ls-324c for comparison as well. I like the fact that the lefoto does not have a center column, so it can go lower and fold up tighter. However it does not go as high.
