Snipers Hide member zandnubbz offered to give away a 22” JP 6 Creedmoor barrel in a thread a couple weeks ago. I commented and asked what he wanted for it. Even offered to pay the shipping cost but he insisted he sent it on his dime. Well, about three or four days later it’s on the back porch when I got home from work. He says it has 900 ish rounds through it so I figured what the hell, I’ll give it a shot!

I built it up on an Aero upper with a JP XXL Rapid Configuration handguard, Superlative Arms adjustable gas block, VG6 65 Epsilon, Aero high pressure bolt and carrier and Radian Raptor charging handle.

I put it on an existing lower I had built as a 6.5 Creedmoor and did some loading today. So far I’ve ran 90 grain Scenars and Hornady 105 BTHP. Photos with chrono numbers to follow. This dog will hunt...., ?

I worked the 90 grain Scenars up to 42 grains H4350 and adjusted the gas block.

I worked up the 105 BTHP from 40 grains up to 40.8 grains. It showed slight ejector marks and didn’t gain any velocity over 40.6 grains.

    Lastly,
    105 BTHP
    40.6 H4350
    CCI 200
New, unfired Hornady brass. I’m just shooting steel and using a 1-8 Vortex until I get glass more fitting but I’m pretty pleased for a FREE barrel.

Looks like you're off to a good start. I remember reading the thread with the free barrel offer, but can't recall what the original owner didn't like about it.
