A very interesting article that corresponds with much of my thinking.

It is quite likely that Xi views the US, and quite rightly so, as nearly completely rotten from the inside and Trump’s presidency as an outlier, that last shiver, the last deep breath that a dying beast takes before its eyes glaze over one last time.

The Chinese mandarins, all graduates of the best schools, many in America, have doubtlessly war-gamed every scenario. Every scenario that is, except the one that will actually take place. History rarely if ever unfolds as predicted and peaceful transfers of power on a global scale, especially when unprecedented riches are at stake as they are now have never taken place. There is simply too much at stake for it to be given up without a fight. To quote the famous Russian playwright Anton Chekhov: “a gun that makes an appearance in Act I, had better fire in Act II.” The warships, planes, and missiles that are so assiduously stockpiled by the US, China, and Russia will not end their days rusting peacefully in some desert compound.
Xi knows better than anyone how superior the American military is to his own, but he also knows how rotten America is back home. Unlike the fool sellouts in the mold of the Clintons, the Bushes, and the Obamas that have been running America with the sole purpose of lining their own pockets, Xi is a true Chinese patriot and more than anything, a realist. He knows that there is nothing that can make a nation weaker more quickly than diversity. He knows that ethnic, national, and religious unity and even homogeneity is the only glue that holds when the chips are down and real pressure is brought to bear.

What is the mindset and status of our military?

That 1 percent is the key.

They will get what? 10 percent active backup at home? Fat old guys like me?

Twenty percent on top of that will support but wont have any training.

Twenty percent wont know what to do, they will go fetal and read the wind.

Forty Nine percent will want to sue for peace on any terms and aid the enemy.

The key to the fight may count on the ten percent herding the forty nine percent at home.

But the 1 percent has to decide whether their oath matters first.

Interesting times we are living in. I pray that we, as a nation possess the testicular fortitude to push through and come out on the right side of history.

I am quickly getting too old for war. When the time comes I just might have to shoot some people instead.

we have to think of the type of war

    china invading us
    us invading china
    north south korea
depending on the action will change the point of view

china sinks a carrier while steaming, the country will get behind for the first 6 months

keep it as a naval battle which we will win, and the casualties are limited because there are not as many troops involved, people will get behind it

sending our guys to fight for guam...not so much
troops on the ground with blood, guts and missing legs on TV and not for american soil.
    thats a issue
the country wont stomach that anymore

China = Land Power, lots of cannon fodder. 10:4 in bodies.

USA = Naval Power, we can project but taking land in china will lead to a war of attrition we can not win.

Our nukes will create the worlds largest Egg Foo Young.

Their nukes probably suffer a certain failure rate but some will get through and create casulties/wastelands.

    The winners will be Russia/Europe.

They look forward to prospering in the remade world.

India and Pakistan will nuke each other just because atoms are in the air.

    Israel nukes its traditional enemas.

New Mecca will be in Paris on the Ile de Cite'

Schott glass will harvest what used be sand in Old Mecca.

I hope that China's top brass do realize that even the slightest move of overt aggression from them, directed towards anyone, including the South Pacific Islands, means that everything that they have accomplished in the last 30 years since Deng Xiaoping initiated market economy reforms will be gone. The primary source of revenue for China today is tourism, foreign business investments, and the use of large urban facilities to host a variety of international events. Not to mention the work put into the "Belt and Road Initiative" to foster more trade and commerce.

If one hint of an approaching shooting war is seen, all of those investments will disappear faster than snow in the face of a volcanic eruption. The country's economy will implode and living conditions will suddenly turn into the same chaos and bloodshed that marked the India/Pakistan partition of 1947 as people scramble to extend control over whatever is left of the remaining resources.

Close the straits of Malacca, they starve within 1 month. period and done, why the hell do you think we watch over Singapore like a hawk?

But again our most immediate and deadly threat is fed gov in the 5 counties around DC. they hate the people and the Constitution of our country. They hold us in contempt, vile contempt, vile dripping contempt, vile dripping utter contempt.... They are our enemy.

Ain’t no global thermo nuclear war happening. Just like there will always be hot and cold seasons somewhere. Earth is gonna remain mostly intact so most can kiss satans ass in ignorance.

That’s not to say there couldn’t be some tactical nuke exchanges in the wars and rumors of wars preceding the alien arrival.

Screw the Chinese government and the global economy.

    Hi,

Anyone ever think on how Erik Prince has been able to open a "Logistics & Security" company based in China..funded by China Government and arrived in Iraq last month?

The company had posted about a new training center they are building in China but after that came under scrutiny it has since been recanted.

How did the Department of State approve the export of his training manuals and subject matter to China?
