What I see is that the Overton Window has moved and the conversation is at the point conservatives are talking about replacing the ACA. There was nothing wrong with my health care insurance before the ACA and now I basically have catastrophic health care and everything else is out of pocket. Doctors visit used to cost me a $15 co-pay and now they cost me $110. I never goto the Doctor just because I never really get sick enough to stop working. However, my kids pick up all kinds of stuff at school and sometimes need to see the doctor if they can't kick whatever they got after 3 days.
Yep it sucks. In addition to the huge hit for health insurance in the pay check the co pays are constant.
We have two kids with some med issues and usually about November we hit the $5500 mark to eliminate co pays.
Prior to ACA it was lots cheaper.
Thing is neither party wants to do anything about healthcare. Each uses it as a political point to attack the other.
Trump is forcing Congress to do something.
Repubs were hoping to beat on Dems over "Medicare for None" socialized health care.
Basically letting the dems have a one sided argument and just letting what we see in Venezuela expose the Dems for fools.
Yet the Repubs offer no solution to ACA or Medicare despite 10 years of promising repeal of the ACA.
Mitch McConnel is mad at Trump for trying to make the repubs find a solution rather than just letting the Dems fall on their sword.
Who cares if families suffer as the med system shrivels and dies. Congress has great health care.
A pure example that neither party gives a shit about the electorate its all about staying in power.
