Chopped Tikka acuracy

For those that have chopped barrels on your Tikkas, how did the accuracy hold up? Looking to chop a Tikka T3X lite in .308 to 18” for a can.

I chopped a 65 cm to 18" and it did fine. Hit steel out to 1100 with it.

Chopped a 300 wm to 20. Accuracy did not change. Wish I would have done it a long time ago. Would have gone 18 but can Silencerco said 20 was all I could go.

Something I monkeyed with some time ago. The H4895 as you may know can be down loaded, made that load for the kids.

Chopped a 6.5C T3x Lite Roughteck down to 20” for suppressed hunting. Still shoots great!

Hopped a 308 sporter to 18” and it’s a little more accurate.

Chopped my 308 CTR to 16” and did not notice any accuracy loss out to 800yds.

Try a modern Ruger

You don't have to remove the barrel to chop, crown and thread.

Hmm ... I assumed the barrel would have to be removed ... Shows how much I know
