18 passenger widebodies have been activated to move evac’d Americans, westerners and Afghan refugees from regional initial evac bases to Europe and CONUS. Likely A330, 747, 777.

AF gets people outta Kabul, civvies move them afterward.

Just the third CRAF activation in history.

They only transported something like 2k folks in past 24h out of Kabul, so what the point of this? . Also i would think that processing the afghans will take plenty of time ,by the time they are cleared to travel further you can ship them a commercial or charter flights

Looks like PR show ... all hands on deck ....... but the only issue with the whole show is actually getting the folks into the Kabul Airport , not the flights themselves .

Some of the planes flew out of Kabul near empty, first german A400 flew home with 7 pax

They’re running out of places to hold the refugees…. A bunch of the countries said enough, we can’t hold anymore, while other countries are just outright refusing to allow them into their country. But, all contingencies were planned for….

so in a week, after the panic and fiasco, they’ve apparently moved 2500 Americans out of the country. Supposedly there’s anywhere between 10-15,000 Americans in the country. With 9 days left till you hit August 31, how do they expect to move the rest?? And this is in the midst of complete incompetence and chaos. If it doesn’t appear they are going to meet their goal by August 31 with everything going on and trying to divert assets to make it happen…. How the heck did they expect this to happen otherwise?? Could you imagine if we were totally out of the country and then had to get control of the airport a later date?? The level of incompetence and stupidity is mind numbing!!!

They say the moved a total of 17k in 7 days .

No plan ,so far just stick them in some hangar , and make something up as you go along , they had 1 year to prepare for this.

Thats dicey cause military planes are firing flares in case the Taliban decide to fire a rockets at them.

But at the same time… if they think going back to Kabul and Afghanistan is a better option… Send them back, pull their paperwork and wish them good luck. Sorry you don’t have WiFi

It's not really a big deal considering air travel is at an all time low right now. It's given airlines much needed revenue, actually.
 
Why can't the Afghans come across our southern border like any other self respecting parasite that believes they have a fundamental right to white civilization?

Some of these folks have fucked up expectations.

I remember an interview by a Swiss TV team somewhere in Morocco, where the kids that were trying to flee to Europe , and they asked them if they know that in Europe things are not looking geat for them in ways of employment and prospects and most of these refugees are still unemployed years after making the trip , and guy literary answered,''we are not worried in Europe there are nice office jobs, beautiful women and lots of money waiting for us'' , and the kid had something like 4 years of school and couldn't write. And when they asked the older residents about the situation they said there is plenty of work at home but hard to find workers as the young folks are migrating to Europe.

Every one operating now out of Kabul, is afraid of ISIS taking a shot,as the French intelligence said ISIS is now also present in Kabul. Luckily so far no one was supplying MANPADS to either Taliban,ISIS or ANA .ISIS and Taliban are not exactly BFF ,so this would be two for one or is that 3 for one when US lashes out at the Taliban for the attack,as is quite typical when they have no target they can hit they 'hold XYZ responsible' in this case Taliban.
