How do gunsmiths create sharp clean application of bedding material in the stock especially under the barrel in front of recoil lug? Is the material machined square after cured?
The stock gets taped off, a dam is made by layering strips of tape in the barrel channel, to form the "barrel pad", and the magwell area is machined in a mill.
