Hello

After shooting my rifle there is always a buildup of carbon fouling on the crown and muzzle area I try scrubbing it with patches that I apply some Sweets 7.62 or other solvent but I can't get it off completely can you recommend me of a way to clean the muzzle end of the rifle without damaging the crown?

Thanks

Re: Cleaning the rifle Muzzle

Get one of the "Lead Away" cloths sold in gunstores. Several firms market them under several trade names. They are usually yellowish in color and are impregnated with a cleaning agent. Cut a 1 1/2 inch square out and massage the stained area. It will clean right up. Store the cloth in a zip-lock bag. Works for revolver cylinder faces also, as well as removing lead from the inside of barrels.
