Rifle Scopes Clearance between the objective and the barrel ?

I only have .020 clearance according to my feeler gauge. Is that enough? Seems alittle close to me. Its a 56mm objective and I have the Badger medium alloy rings...

Looks like the next step up would be the Badger Med. High and would be .115 taller.

What are you putting this on? If it is a .22 then no worries....but obviously if you are cutting it that close with a bigger bore gun you could have some issues. Is it a heavy barrel...countour wise or is it tapered? Many factors for this question.

Its a .300 win mag, I ordered the med-high badger rings today.
