As if welfare pocket Cleveland couldn't get poorer, LeBron James is heading to Miami, and taking about $100 Million with him, money that Cleveland normally receives in tax revenues from the Cavaliers.

What poor ass Cleveland will get more of are trash can fires, welfare checks, free clinics, homelessness, desperation, blinding poverty, rampant drug abuse, and skyrocketing crime.

Guess Cleveland should have been nicer to LeBron when they had the chance.

I'm hoping Cleveland riots--that would be awesome!

Good luck with that whole poverty thang, dogs....

Re: Cleveland Just Got Poorer!

I graduated from Case there many years ago when Cleveland was a POS and they revived the down town area when I was there with the new stadium and rock and roll hall of fame. it went down hill from there every time i visit that city. and with labron gone, more money down gone, but u know what, i don't feel sorry for them one bit. like any other business, they need to adapt to the economic climate and change their business model.

Re: Cleveland Just Got Poorer!

When your business is the creation and maintenance of a growing and ever more ravenous welfare state for the aggrandizement of one class of swindler, the race hustler, the only adaptation ever demanded is of the ever dwindling productive minority.

Ironic since the kid just wants to play for a team with a chance to win a championship. Yet the whiners and parasites in Cleveland now hate him as though he has stolen something from them. His freedom to choose his career path is considered a betrayal to people who claim to have given him something, yet all they really are is consumers of entertainment. He gave them fair value for their money. He owes them nothing.

I'm way past caring about the NBA but I thought this was interesting watching all the gasbaggery as James wrestled with all the elements of this decision. His decision. Screw everyone with their horseshit "social impact" claims on him.

Pretty pathetic that the once potent city of Cleveland hangs it's fate on the decision of a basketball player to stay or leave.

Oh one more soap box rant, I refuse to buy sports items like jersey or for that matter go to games, etc. People rant about how much these entertainers make, its their own doing. I find it amazing all these people that get paid millions to entertain, but people that put their life on the line for this country get screwed daily.

Re: Cleveland Just Got Poorer!

As I get older this whole "Sports" situation is just getting more and more out of control. It is no longer about the sport or about the game. It is solely about the money. And to be honest it makes me sick. You can not even take a youngster to a baseball game without spending an unbelievable amount of money!! And why?? So a few fatcats who own the teams can take a bath in their money, and so some ball player can own 37 different cars. Honestly it is starting to just make me sick.

I have nothing against this "Lebron" guy. Personally I find pro basketball to be very distasteful to watch, because of the attitude of those rich players. I can honestly say I have no idea whether this "Lebron" guy acts like that or not. I can say that I have never watched him play-nor will I. Just the thought of what happened with him makes me sick.

They will pay this guy 100's of millions of dollars. And every dime comes off the back of a hard working guy who tries to do something for his kid. Disgusting!!

If Cleveland is stupid enough to put their future in the hands of money hungry people like this. Then that is Cleveland's fault, not mine. So let them suffer the consequences of their stupid decisions. Tom.

Hey Switch, I just got a little poorer when I found that the cigar store in the building I was working in today had sevral sizes of Sancho Panza's!!!!

It's been too long since I had one, so I bought ten of them (5" long about 5/8" diameter, not sure what that is in ring gauge) at $3.99 a pop! Just finished one and it was good!

Yeah, go back and eat your government cheese and collect your food stamps. I was referring to the $100M per year that will be lost (see the news media for that number)per year from now on.

Yep, and just where did that $2.5 billion go? Clearly not into your pocket, or anyone else of so little consequence in that miserable place.

That means every single assclown on welfare, illegal alien, rich guy who is cheating on his taxes all pay their fair share when they buy something in SALES TAX. ALmost equal to a flat tax for the state but close. I do like the fact that no one is exempt </div></div>

Unless you live on the state line like I did for several years. I lived on the TN, KY border. Best of both worlds. You buy your goods in KY, and have your residence in TN. There was a big price difference in the land prices from one side of the road to the other. All the businesses were on the left side of the road(cheap land), and the houses(expensive land) were on the right side of the road. Tom.
