    Kinda looks like a female version of David Hogg. And honestly, it's difficult to take her too seriously as she's what? 16?. She knows all now?

    We "ruined" her life? How? Was it the peace from war or the really good education, nutritious foods, or the infinite entertainment available on the internet that didn't exist 30 years ago?     Yes particulary when it comes to high end race boats ,was so a decade ago when i was still building some is so now. The sails on realy big ones are so expensive and have limited lifetime that are only used when racing and not for ferry time so rest of the time they motor them around , these boats also run bunch of electronics and autopilots so most of the time have some sort of generator on board to top up the batteries (solar pannels don't make enough juice for the top line autopilots with gyrostabilisation), but the other thing that makes the footprint less than neutral , teams ither ship the boats on cargo ships or more often fly in transfer crews to ferry the boats from various destinations to home ports . Ship sailed in full racing mode from Europe to US , but will be ferried back to Europe with skleton crew flown in in just for this job .
