    According to CNN’s Brian Stelter, Zucker said CNN journalists were reporting the facts as they were presented—without verifying whether any of the claims had merit.

    “We are not investigators. We are journalists, and our role is to report the facts as we know them, which is exactly what we did,” Zucker said, Stelter revealed in a tweet.
     
    Soooo.....commentary not journalism. "Report the facts as you know them" being the key phrase. They didn't know the facts.

    Well in their mind they are entitled to redefine the definition of the word "facts" because they are engaged in war.

    Maybe the Trump admin should start treating them as combatants if they insist on parading rumors as actual facts. Misinforming the public to where they fight among each other poses are a tangible risk national security.

    It falls under the category of yelling fire in a crowded theater when there is none and causing a panic where real people are hurt.
