So I got my bolt back from getting a new knob installed today, then I had a small problem, the gunsmith shipped it back de-cocked

help how do I fix this

Re: cocking 700 bolt

I did it with a bootlace

Re: cocking 700 bolt

Find an edge of something you can use like the sharp edge of a table or the jaws of a vise.

Use this edge to pull the cocking piece rearward. You'll feel the spring compress. When you pull it back you can turn it into place. You dont even need a penny but you can use it if you want by sticking it on the slot on the cocking piece, then turning it into place.

A shoe lace or string can work too to do the same thing.

There are YouTube videos online.

Who did the install? Ask them to pay for shipping and send it back. They shouldn't have sent it that way in the first place.
