My cold bore shot is always 1” high. Next shots are dead on. How much difference do you guys see in your cold bore shot versus follow up shots?
Thanks for your time.

Some rifles do it, some don't, sometimes a brake or a can will magnify it. But 1" is out of the ordinary, and too much, more like your mechanics. Try running a jag with a small amount of bore conditioner or Kroil down the barrel after a shooting session before storage and see what happens.

It come down to cleaning, I no longer have any POI shift with a clean bore. Check out Frank's videos on bore cleaning. You may be over cleaning. Or it could be "cold shooter" and anticipating firing the first round of the day.

Also, if it is that predictable, 1" high every time, at some point it becomes a non issue, for now it is known. But even a dry jag and patch may clear a lot of it up.
