Cold bore

Doing some load work up and I notice my first shot is always 20fps slower than the rest. Anyone else seen this?

My cold bore shot is almost always a different impact but everyone tells me I’m nuts

Do you clean your barrel after each range trip?

1st shot of the day? If so, how many times thus far? Also, we are leaning towards clean bore shot and drifting away from cold bore terminology.

No just cleaned it after 400 rounds, have shot 50 or so since then.

Was not first shot of the day, rifle sat for 20 min or so between load testing. It’s happened 5 times now. Doing more load work up today and will see if it happens today.

You know what you should try? Load the first round .3 grains hot

My Winmag is consistently and predictably 1 moa to 12 o'clock once the barrel returns to ambient temp.
