My first trip and I don't think it will get any better. Since I was the young buck(far right with the dog) I had to pack out the majority everyones meat. My Grandpa(second from the left) shot the biggin, he found him in the back country, guess who packed it out.

All game was takin within 200 yrds. I shot the coyote at 112 steps while he was at a full run. I brought the big gun but couldn't get a long shot at a legal bull. Saw lots of wildlife from 600 to 1300 yrds but nothing I could shoot at.

Good pix. What GMU and season did ya hunt? There's a noticable lack of white stuf in the pix! We hunt Craig/Baggs Wyo. area and when it's like that, it's a camping trip! Only thing that dies is Jack Daniels bottles and brain cells. Congrats! Looks like ya'll had a great hunt.

I agree with Jawa on the beautiful spot, I really dig it. It looks like a great place to be, and no doubt with taking a look at those head, its also a great place to hunt. Congrats to the folks and hopefully next time around you get a big one and make them pack your meat! haha =)

I'm guessing that's a TRG-42. Hit me up with a PM if you wanna get together and do some shooting. I'm looking at picking up a 42 in .338LM to go with my TRG-22 soon. Would like to check out a .338LM and shoot it before I get one.

My "home" sections were 711 and 71 about and hour outside of Cortez. Since most of us had bull tags we did alot of traveling to other sections. It was great camping weather, only after the cold snap(no snow) did we start laying game. In responce to CMS... I love my TRG 338lm, I highly recommend them, be sure to grab a 1/10 twist so you can lob the 300gr SMK and scenars.
