Just found out about the new constitution violations the communist usurpers in Denver are prepping for this year, raising the age for legal purchase of a firearm to 25, mandatory background checks and a new tax for ammo purchases, mandatory firearm storage in a vault for all firearms, and a three day waiting period for a purchased firearm. As if the magazine ban and their the Bill of Rights disregarding Red Flag law weren't enough trespasses. If anyone had any doubts about their dictatorial authoritarian bend this definitely removes them. I hope the next election will bring them a reversal like they have never seen, but then again most of California must be already here with the exception of Hollyweird.

I seriously doubt the 25 year age limit to purchase a firearm will survive a federal court challenge. Otherwise, why not 50 years old or any other random number the anti-gunners come up with?

But I feel you. The California plague is moving East like a swarm of locusts leaving formerly free states in ruin.

Maybe there should be a background check, a substantial hazardous material, and hazardous waste disposal tax, and a two week waiting period for Marx' "Communist Manifesto", a DNC membership card, or Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals"? Also requiring safe storage in a vault should be a requirement.

Time for the Convention of States to clarify that our rights do not come from the government, whether local, or federal and that the Bill of Rights is not open to revision and infringement by lawyer semantics. The founders had a clear idea in what areas government authority is null and void and they clearly stated them, we are now confronted with the results of a hundred years of laissez faire and ignoring progressive socialist transgressions because "life goes on". The time to sit out elections, or just roll with it ended when the Big Zero started to "fundamentally transform" the country we love and grew up in. Time also for the industry which we support with our dollars to start realizing this and that their livelihood is at stake, unless they are exclusively government contractors, but even then because contracts can be yanked in a second. Would be nice to hear some organized statements coming out of SHOT Show and not just the choir of "buy our products until you're not allowed to own them anymore."

    SonicBurlap,

Where are you seeing confirmation of these? I have been warily trying to keep on eye on any new legislation but haven't seen anything definitively put forth yet, just rumors.

I saw a few House Bills that have numbers now on RMGO's site, but nothing yet (no numbers) on the stuff you mentioned.

RMGO and what I've heard through several friends in other parts of Colorado from their GOP reps in their districts. It sounds like the dems are flush with Bloomberg money and chumping at the bit.

Just great. Lived here since the early 90's, lovely seeing it go to absolute shit with endless Californian immigrants.

It easy to be a liberal, you don’t have to stand for anything. You can have the poplar opinion of the day and bam! your in. The fuckery going on in ALL states needs to be addressed and fast. It’s silly to see glowing red states going democrat because of a couple blue specks on the map (ie urban areas).

I certainly don’t have an answer, but the leftist from all over are flocking to conservative states in droves because of shit policies. Conservative state reps eat it up cause of new tax base all the while knowing it’s completely fucking the demographics up.

Oh, they do stand for something:

For the Left, elections are a public auction of goods confiscated later. Handouts promised to everyone voting for them, that are pledged to be taken away from 'the other side'. Fiscally it's redistribution and as such at least mathematically feasible. Beyond that it has to involve some serious magic like "You'll gain safety from the rights we take away from others". It is stunning that voters fall for this shit.

The second amendment has become a wedge issue to rile up the voting bases on both sides. Instead of setting up the second amendment like a volleyball net and playing games, do something more constructive. Run for office, disrupt these tyrant's days, see to it that they understand there are consequences to their actions. Negotiating only works when you have the upper hand, and you can gain the upper hand by making a political tyrant's life very uncomfortable.

Begs the question: when is it time to do something about it?
Yesterday. Get to work, don't wait for someone else to start. Be the change you want to see. The reason why it's as bad as it is now is because we let it get this bad.

Convention of States: term limits, balanced budget, no more congressional pensions, no more semantics interpretations, no more legislating from the bench, no more exemptions and immunity for congress from laws on insider trading, or any other law, and most of all no more exceptions to following the Bill of Rights and following their oath of office, no more non-elected bureaucrats writing regulations that have the status of a law, or giving themselves a pass, or investigating themselves.

Sitting here, reading this, I just smdh and chuckle, remembering all the fucking liberal shitheads I've worked with, comment about their dream of moving to Colorado. Unfortunately for Colorado, many of them did. My apologies to Colorado on behalf of all the conservatives in California, still duking it out day-to-day.

When we asked for help, but only got "fuck those Californians", it had some long term impacts (apparently). Perhaps some should think about that the next time they wanna dogpile on conservative Californians...or conservative Coloradans.

Unfortunately, there is not much that can be done by people outside the state on these. Democrats regained their supermajority in CO, if these bills do come up, the only hope is some democrats can be persuaded not to vote for them.

Disarming this country has been a wet dream of tyrants since before 1776. Maintaining our freedom has always been a constant battle.

I followed the last few state and local election cycles very carefully, starting with Prop 112 (which would have seen me and any many friends on the street or chased out of CO). What amazed me was that something like 1/5th or less of the state appears to actually vote. I'm not convinced we are actually outnumbered in CO by shitheads from Boulder and Denver (yet). We have to get people active, angry, and engaged.

Well lets start getting our own demonstration in place like Virginia did. I am willing to help with whatever we need to start. These “elected officials” have become way too comfortable in their offices at this point. We need to show, peacefully, that we aren’t allowing this crap anymore. It needs to stop now.

This ^^^ may be the best result to come out of the VA gathering.
Sadly the "pro 2nd" news media all but 14th paged it.
They/them that are behind the scenes are watching the effects very closely.

Not entirely true, the current big push is bought and paid for by Michael Bloomberg and his cohorts who also sponsored the last few and do not reside in the State of Colorado. So the state of New York's nefarious money bag residents and the former residents of the once proud state of California who helped create the disaster we now know under that name and are now leaving it in droves because they do not like the outcome of their lunacy but are unwilling to do anything about it, or change their voting habits which created it are about to re-create the very same conditions in Colorado.
Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Arizona, and Utah are also already experiencing the beginnings of it with the introductions of gun control bills and the rest. if your state has any scenic areas, or great areas for outdoor activities, mild climate, booming economy, reasonable real estate prices, be ready because they'll be coming to you next.
If you don't live in a state you should not be allowed to get financially, or in any other way involved in their elections. They put Dinesh D'Souza in jail for exceeding campaign contributions through a strawman by a few thousand but if Bloomy, or Soros dump a couple million into the campaign in another state through strawman organizations no big deal, by the way it was a NY attorney who landed D'Souza in jail.

Unfortunately what I said is entirely true. What you wrote simply agreed with it. Bloomberg money has less effect, than voters in the districts democrats control. The NRA money fights Bloomberg's, but at the end of the day, its up to the people in the state to vote for their reps, and hold them accountable for what they do. Apathetic people will get what they deserve.

Its funny the democrats talk down a lobbyists that represent millions of people with only a few dollars, but if the lobbyist happens to represent him self with all his dirty money. He is fine.

Democrats getting away with all this nefarious campaign financing in B.S. But then so are mail in ballots.

Unfortunately what you said is not entirely true, election rigging is something that needs to be addressed at the national level, not just the state level, therefore all bear an element of fault for what went on in California, Oregon, Washington, and now Colorado and the other Western states. Eventually the socialist wagon trek East will arrive at everyone's door step if all that is done is to lament how "those stupid bastards deserve what they got" (Newsflash: the Califiornians , and Coloradoans, and all the other now maltreated did not all vote for the thugs now controlling their state governments, in most cases there was a huge element of voter fraud involved.

Cemeteries here in Colorado have been voting Democrat for years now, and the voting machines are still serviced by the same companies that have been proven to engage in voter fraud, no matter how loud, or frequent the protests. There is nothing funny about what is going on anymore, what we are witnessing is the systematic undermining of our governmental system blatantly in the open to the point where they don't care you know the truth anymore and they get to accuse even the President of the United States in Congress with altered accounts and "retelling" of made up dialogues, completely unfettered and without legal consequences. Unless Americans start demanding accountability, participate in elections, and watch those who control voting and tally the ballots it won't matter how many vote for a particular candidate anymore, you'll get who and what was paid for and your rights and property will go as spoils to be redistributed to those who supported who won.
Texas has huge issues with its voting machines with software backdoors left deliberately open to hackers as recently reported. The security of our election process, and the undermining of the electoral college are an even bigger threat to our national security than rogue nations like Iran, North Korea, Russia, and China.

What I said is entirely true. You are passionate, but either not reading or understanding what I am wrote or civics.

I don't doubt that election fraud happens and mail in makes it easier, but if you have the evidence turn it in to the proper authorities.

So what are you suggesting people outside the state of Colorado do about theses Colorado laws?

Polis will close the doors and do as he pleases. This is his proven way.

We can put our pennies together and add in the NRA's pittance and we'll all be outspent 4 to 1 by a few out of state billionaires. A lot of people are impressionable and dumb and to them the TV adds make a huge impact. The illegals vote for free shit, the dead all vote Dumborat, and so do the transplants form shithole cities on the coasts.

I've played the "call your rep" and "let's have a protest" game before and they could not have possibly cared less. You think Pole smoker Polis gives a shit what we think or say? His money is proof to him that he's better than us and deserves to make our decisions -- the very same mindset those NY cocksuckers who buy our elections have.

The only thing these fuckers are going to understand is the end of a rope. The only recourse we'll have as citizens is to ignore their bullshit and form a network to respond when one of us in surrounded by the king's men, Bundy ranch style, or we're all fucked. And if they really want to push the issue, we'll have one last choice: throw down our arms and join the flock or throw down old school and take back our government.

I Know a lot of people who see the writing on the wall and they're headed out of state for good. I'm staying and fighting, and I don't mean writing to the cocksuckers or pleading with them to leave me alone or going door to door and begging for votes. I mean fighting.

It's not just the 2A where Colorado is losing it's mind. My daughter went out there 3 years ago for a better job. Little did she know how much more expensive it would become. In 2 years, her rent went up $400, her taxes went up, you name it, it got more expensive.

She came home this year, found a job paying almost the same amount, but her rent is $600 less per month, expeses are way down too.

It's seems it's already a lot like California.

You guys are underestimating Polis. He is on a mission of vengeance and retribution for all wrongs done to the alphabet people. He sees himself as a savior of some sort, and he has the votes to force his will upon us. Northam is a ignorant jackass compared to Polis. Elections matter. Just sayin.....

The Democrats and the Republicans alike were staunchly against it. I doubt anyone could point to where it hurt either, without making a pretty good reach. Not the problem, not worth arguing over. Seems like its a bridge to use with pot heads, about how important keeping our freedom is vs how hard it is to get back.

You are obviously not understanding that their end goal is not just the domination of the state of Colorado, beautiful as it is. They could never enact their agenda in the whole country in one fell swoop without risking a civil war they would assuredly lose, so they concentrate on targeted states at a time, through concentrating their out of state aid, voter fraud by registering the dead, early voting, absentee voting, voting machine fraud, busing from polling station to polling station, and enabling non citizens to vote. Unless American citizens demand of their federal "representatives" to put an end to outside of state money contributions, a way to ensure that voting rolls in each state must be scrubbed of the dead at least annually, having to show I.D. to prove you are entitled to your one vote, and some sort of control to ensure the security and integrity of our election process, we will end up as a third world communist banana republic/dictatorship under the auspices of the big brother Russians and Chinese sooner, or later.
Preventing this is not something the people of Colorado, or Colorado and California combined can achieve by themselves; it would require the assistance of those who currently just armchair quarterback from their not yet quite so harshly infringed upon locations, and revel in the thought that "those ... got exactly what they deserve." So you see, our Republic as created by our founders is not a spectator sport all of us have to get involved or we will all be the bastards who got what they deserved, the national motto states E Pluribus Unum, "Out of many one" we can either stand and petition those federal politicians together, or have one state fall at a time. What happens in Colorado will hurt those living here first but those who sit complacently without contacting and putting pressure on their so called"reps" about the integrity of our election process will be made to care shortly by those who now inflict this on Colorado. It is either do, or roll over.

It was the bait that helped draw those socialists that had to flee California because they financially could not afford to live there any longer to Colorado to sort of, excuse the lame pun, "sweeten the pot" assuring they drew in just the kind of electorate they'd hoped for. This actually feels weird like I'm reciting Edward the Long Shanks words out of "Braveheart" but I believe it's true nonetheless.

If one follows the "legalization" over the years it is a large draw to the electorate in almost every state
    it has been pushed though.

It's been a huge draw on progressives that were planning to move anyway but did not want to be without the beloved pot they were accustomed and addicted to from where they came from. It almost never fails that if I happen to have to talk to a liberal from California who moved here sooner, or later they mention that they "just love that Colorado legalized pot". If you visit the area around Ouray, Ridgway, and Telluride it's hard to find someone who didn't live in California at one time, or another anymore. It used to be Boulder, Denver, Pueblo, and Alamosa used to be the big left wing strongholds, now those who resettled into the resorts where they just used to hold summer, or winter vacation homes have become permanent residents and Aspen, Vail, Glenwood Springs, Telluride, Durango are experiencing population growth.

It feels like all that has been accomplished is polite talk from the right, and demonstrations from antifa types on the left. Unfortunately, neither one really changes anything.

Then again it is entirely possible that I'm just grumpy because my shoulder hurts like crazy. Storms coming in don't really help much. I'll go crawl back under my rock for a while. Y'all have my apologies for being grumpy and disheartened by the politics of the day.
