This is my Colt 607, forerunner to the XM177 and CAR-15. Early 607's had a short barrel with a cylindrical moderator that resulted in excessive muzzle flash. When the M177 muzzle brake came out, some 607's were retrofitted. The 607 featured a three position adjustable putstock that was pinned to the lower receiver and operated by a switch in the butt. Early 607's had large triangular handguards.

    Interesting stock design!

On a related note... anyone know what the coating on the original rubber CAR-15 and XM177 stocks was? I stripped an aluminum stock once and holy Hell that stuff was a nightmare to remove!

As always, BW... Beautiful build! Or is that an original you managed to score?

    Cheers,

    Sirhr

    Buffalo,
    Super cool things you post.
The pilot survival knife is great as well.
The suppressed pistol appears to be a HS HD MILITARY model.
    Thanks for posting.

BTW, we have matching leather chairs except mine lacks all the cool stuff. 😁
