i just want a new rifle for plinking

i have 4 ar15s right now but no just normal 16" 223

what would you buy and why

Re: Colt 6920 or MP5 clone

Why not a 9mm AR? Ammo is cheaper in 9mm (although it is hard to find right now) and with the AR platform you can use the same accessories you already have for your other ARs. I have a RRA 9mm AR that has been registered as an sbr and it is a blast to shoot.

Here is a pic of my 9mm AR. It has a 5" tri-lug barrel. The can is a SWR Trident 9.

good idea kevin, im going to register a lower as a SBR and i figure i can get multiple SBR uppers

Re: Colt 6920 or MP5 clone

If shooting as a rifle, why spend the cash (200) to get the SBR? Shoot it as a 16" and run it. If you are truly looking for a shorty, go for it, and have fun, I just can't get the cash for that. I don't know about the rules with SBR, but if you can get numerous for the same receiver, might be cool.
Sorry, no real tell, but I'd go with a 16" .223 or .22 for plinking.
