i live in edmonton where there is a lack of qualified gun smiths,i have been looking for a good 308,for target shooting out to 800 yards.i have read the articles on the colt cooper and have decided to place my order for one.it is on the high side for price but seems to be well built.Has anyone bought one,if so are you happy with it,how is the quality of the gun and how does it shoot.

Haven't seen any, yet. But, all of my Coopers were easy to get to shoot well, so they should be nice. Especially for the circumstances that you state ( lack of qualified gunsmiths ), they should probably be a decent option.
