Please help identify this interesting Kevlar helmet purchased 15 yrs ago at least
It’s got a full comm set up for goodness knows what purpose..
I have long forgot why I bot it.

That's a vehicle crew member helmet... Typically worn by Abrams, Bradley, and self propelled artillery crews

I wore those as a mechanic when I was assigned to a tracked recovery crew. Those were much more comfortable than the old ballistic helmets from the 80's.

It would plug into the vehicle internal comms and the external radios which varies by vehicle.... Why tho?

Called a CVC(combat vehicle crew) helmet, as stated above for use with track vehicles mostly. Some crew on aircraft carriers use a version as well.
