I had just picked up my first AW back in 2001, then found the Hide about 4 weeks later. Good old Bellsouth dial-up back then, mmmm.
That was a hefty investment back at that time (still is today) which is what pushed me towards creating the username involving it. I'm still a sucker for the original thumb-hole today aesthetically, but can appreciate the advancements with the AX systems.

Year I made Chief in the Navy (got anchors). Thought Anchor Zero Six sounded cool.
At some time along the way from original site to a server upgrade my info got messed up do I contacted LL and asked if I could just set up a new profile. Lost my original join date in 05 and around 500 post count but been A06 ever since.

Used to do tree work even had my own business for a stint . Worst day outside was better than my best day inside . So I'm a treedog at heart . The Alpha part matches the personality . Or so I think until I get knocked down a peg every now and then .
Considering the amount of firearms I was 'into' and 'involved with' let alone the shooting that I did, it was my circle of friends who gave me the monniker of "the Nailer." It started out though, from Jim the Nailer, as per the old history books. Then, when "Bob Lee" became popular, they really started hammering me with it. Simple as that.

Mine came from my C/O an First Shirt after both 60's went down, one day playing tag. Two of us were issued M14e2's and we worked as trained. The Avatar is from my first duty station in Korea. Was guarding M35a3/M60 tanks in the spoon bill. At 0200 I seen this shadow that was not there 15 minutes before, he started towards me as I him. Long short I was to be his number two that night but after the M14 spoke, he was on his last trip to the big woods in the sky. To this day I hate Wolverines, I'll kill everyone I see w/o even thinking about it no matter the law. Uncle taught me how to trap them using a dirty hole set and it works well.
Mine comes from the facts that I always talk real nice and never cuss, always smell like fresh flowers and never roll around in the dirt, oil, grease etc. fixing junk.
Well, there is a tree hugger and then there is vw hugger. I used to be a Volkswagen aficionado years back. As far as my avatar, that should be self explanatory in reflecting my stint in the blue water Navy back in the sixties.

Mine is the first letter of my first name and part of my last name. Also love where I live in Carolina! Avatar is my beloved Rottie I lost some years ago, this was what I saw every morning while headed out the door.. Makes me sad every time I see it, loved that dog like a child.
