    Hi,

Lets go ahead and put this thought down on digital paper, lol..

Coming Soon (Right around August) will be Insurance Companies needing Federal Government to step in and bail them out due to all the loss of income claims that are pouring in because these companies are not closing down and actually loosing money...they have insurance for that shit.

In the end we are going to see Loss of Income insurance and short term unemployment policies have the same Government override system as the "Notice of Terrorism Insurance Coverage" policies. Which state the Fed Gov pays 80% of the claims value.

    Sincerely,
    Theis

Theis, looking at the PX tells me the majority here couldn't successfully operate a lemonade stand and the rest would pay any price for a glass. They have no clue of the ramifications you speak of. Plus, I suspect a good portion are offline hoarding dixie stixs hopefully to get lost forever.

My guess is that a whole lotta people are gonna get a quick education on the term "force marjeure".

I'm currently working under the following assumptions:

    1) The banks are fucked, as there is no way in hell they got properly "fixed" after the 2008 bailout.

    2) The auto companies are fucked, because they only make money on a small slice of a small slice of the market ($60K+ pickups and SUVs), and I don't see those flying off the lots during a virus apocalypse. A "normal" SAR (adjusted measure of annual sales) is around 16M units/year; GM claims that it can survive at a SAR of 10M/year. I don't think they are right, and I think SAR is going to drop far lower than we saw during the last crash (it touched 9M in Feb 2009).

    3) The healthcare companies are somehow going to claim a loss on this mess and will require a bailout. What will be the cost of treating several million people for PTSD after things return to "normal"? (Probably nothing, because of course we don't really pay for mental health services in this country.)

I think you're correct on various other insurance companies taking a hit as well.
