Anyone do reload commercially? I was wondering how most test their ammo for saftey, pressure wise. Or do you just load real mild ammo to resell? I was wondering, cause I purchased some ammo from a gunshow guy a couple of years ago to try out a pistol that I hadn't got dies to reload yet, and the loads all seemed real light. The guy told me he just chose mid range loads out of a reloading manual so as to be safe in all guns.

Re: commercial reloaders

I have a type 06 FFL. That's for maunfacturing ammo & components. Our main thing is making benchrest rifle bullets. Any ammo I make for someone else, they leave me the rifle and I take it to the range and tune the load like the rifle was mine. I record all the data in a book with the target, rifle specs and serial number. Unless the owner has a new barrel put on I can make them up from scratch and not have to have the rifle again.

My customers for ammo also sign a legal release form that I am loading to their specs with materials they supply. And that we are not responsible for their silly actions if they shoot someone's horse or cow.

Some people do some stupid stuff. I don't load for people I don't know and trust.
