+1 on the above.

That said...George and company are the only ones that I have seen regularly chambering the 6mm Creedmoor in a semi-auto platform with the GAP-10...hard to improve on perfection!!

Re: Companies that chamber 6mm CM

I'm pretty much set on having a GAP built, I was just doing some research on what else is available. I havent heard of anyone else making them on the level GAP does. The info I have found is pretty limited and all points to GAP.

It's very handy to get a rifle that already has loading data that doesn't take a whole bunch of tweaking. You may still have to do a little seating depth work but the charges and powders are pretty well taken care of with a barrel that already has a history. All I had to do was tweak the oal and mine shot great from the beginning. I may have spent 50 rounds fooling with load development. But it shot under 3/4 before I even started. Josh builds a great gasser. He knows his stuff.

Re: Companies that chamber 6mm CM

Short Action Customs builds a heckuva large-frame gasser. One of my friends has one in 6.5CM. He shot it at a mid-range F-class match on a bet one time this season. First match he shot a 577/600 with factory 140 Amax ammo.

Anyway, Mark builds them, they hammer. GAP isn't the only company that can chamber the 6 Creedmoor, nor are they the only ones that can build a hammer gas gun on a 308 size receiver.

They do a great job, don't get me wrong. They're also probably the biggest proponents of the 6CM at this point with the properly headstamped brass and push for brining it into a more mainstream caliber.

The GAP-10 is more of a turnkey setup instead of a user-spec'd custom rifle on a semi-auto. With a SAC rifle it's going to be much more of user defined custom platform.
