Compressing with Redding type S seater

Anyone compress loads using the S seater? The directions say not to but maybe it can be done a certain way?

There is no type S seater. There is a type S sizing die; you are referring to the competition seating die. A true compressed load may break the seating stem. A load that compresses the powder lightly can be done, as I have done it thousands of times. Just don't overdo it. If you want to compress loads hard, I think the Forster will do it.

What mjp5 says, no type s seater. Compress away, the seating stem on a standard Redding die is stout. If by chance you were to crack one, your concentricity will be out the door, check it periodically.

The comp die sliding seater stem, whole different thing.
