"free speech" will only be allowed if it is strictly following what the Communist overlords and their Technocrat minions say is "proper thought".
There have been quite a few old timers talking about how the idea of a free and open internet is being completely destroyed because it's all now in the hands of a small group of self important technocrats who think they are the new gods that all must worship.
Lately we are seeing exactly how effective they are getting at destroying any ideas they don't want people to think about.
They are proud to cut off your money and cut off your platforms if you don't toe the Communist... and yet there was people on this forum who think PayPal for example is some great saint and to give them a bit less profit is so horrible.... You'll also find a bunch of people still believing the lie "Well they are a private company so they can do as they want".... When they are massive multi national corporations that are supposed to be properly regulated & if the reverse was happening they would be in court every day and hounded as horrible in the press.
Twitter and Facebook of course lead the charge, you can be a Muslim terrorist recruiter, or an advocate of "consensual" sex between adults and children, or actively planning & coordinating actual violence against conservative members of congress... no problem at all
But you don't dare say anything negative about Hillary, the democrats or any SJW sacred cows or you will be instantly banned. You even get banned for posting joke pictures with no objectionable content (like NPC) that they don't like the message of.
Go Daddy has in several instances really shown how much they want to be seen as a champion of SJW Communist ideals, those bastards are getting happy to destroy anyone using their services if they say anything the evil Technocrats don't agree with, regardless of any contracts one may have or rules and service conditions and terms.
At this rate if you actually want to talk about things freely, you might just have to have your servers in Russia or Eastern Europe, which is crazy when you think that in the supposed land of "freedom of speech" you can't talk about anything except what the Communists say is okay.
You know the old verse about "That no man may buy or sell except he had the number of the beast"... well it's coming to America... unless you worship the Communist SJW gods with all your heart & soul and profess eternal servitude of your mind to any idea they say you should agree with, they will do their best to destroy your ability to speak and to buy & sell. Why do you think they keep pushing to make doing business in Cash seem wrong.... It's so much harder to strip all your money at the press of a button if you have it in cash in your hands.
Eventually we'll probably have to go with some of then newer ideas for internet of the true peer to peer distributed storage stuff so that there is not as many chokeholds with easy cutoff buttons for content they don't like.
