convert 10/22 stock to 77/22

Just wondering if anyone has ever done this or if it is even possible.

The 77/22 receiver is longer than a 10/22.


I have heard of people shaving 1/4 inch off the top of a Rem 700 stock, and skim bedding it in place.

Mike Lau @ Texas Brigade Armory does this with McMillan HTG stocks for Ruger 77/22s.
