converting 700 223 to 6.5 Creedmoor

Hey guys...I'm in the process of building another 6.5 for MDPRS competition. I have a 700 that I wanna rebarrel to 6.5 Creedmoor...I plan on running the Criterion Remage barrel setup...and a PTG bolt assembly, unless I can find a factory 308 bolt for sale. If I would go with the PTG will I need to ream the action before installation?....or can I run a bolt with same specs as I'm running now?....other than bolt face of course....

They tend to stock normal sizes, but will make you any diameter you want I believe. No reaming necessary.

I would just send your bolt to Longrifles Inc or Gretan rifles and have your bolt opened up and a mini m16 extractor installed. I would skip the ptg route based on everything I've read about them.

Btw, if you go with a ptg bolt I would be interested in your 223 bolt if you wanted to sell it

I'll def sell the 223 bolt...I threaded the factory one however...not sure if you'd still want or not
