Gunsmithing converting stevens into a DBM

Hey all,

apologies if this has been done before but how hard is it to convert a standard stevens 200 sa, into a detachable box magazine config?

Any help would be great,

I am not 100% sure if the stevens 200 is the exact same as the Savage, but the best bet for DBM in the Savage is the CDI system, uses the AI mags.

Only difference between Stevens and Savage is that the Stevens does not come with an accu trigger.

It's easy as pie. Assuming you have a newer Stevens and the action-screw spacing is 4.40-inch:

1) Get a stock that is inletted for the factory DBM or HFP magazine. (The Choate tactical can be had in that config for about $160)

2) Order the OE magazine frame from either Savage or Sharpshooter Supply.

3) Order a factory magazine floorplate (from Savage or SSS) or a DIY 9-round mag kit from SSS.
