Took my 11 year old to see the Silent Wings Museum in Lubbock, pretty cool little museum with 1 of only 10 WW 2 gliders left. If you get the chance it is worth the 8 dollars

These places are great but I think they are fading.

WWII generation is passing, young seem to have little interest, sad.

Sad to say, you're probably right. I'm almost 60 and I'm a product of a WWII mom and dad. I doubt these youngins today won't care about history. After all, they're wanting to erase much of what the United States was born from.

Those pictures remind me of the last time I stopped in at Vulcan Gun Refinishing. That place is like a museum of vintage rifles getting refinished. Its so nice to see those rifles in such beautiful condition. Last time I was there he showed me a M1 Garrand in 6x47. So cool.

Any pictures of the glider? Assuming it is a Waco. I have seen parts of them but never one whole.

It's a bit hard to read but does the display call the MP38 an "MP 35"?

They have a glider in one of the small museums on Bragg. I used to go up there on my lunch breaks just to walk around. Neat little things.

This is the cockpit, in the picture of the glider in the background you can see another cockpit
