Roger that, they haven't done reticle conversions for some time now, it's a shame too. I know of dozens upon dozens of Leupolds that could have used it, before Leupold wised up and came out with the TMR.

Re: cost of reticle change at premier

The history of the relationship between Leupold and Premier is long and complicated.

Premier thrived on replacing Leupold mildot reticles with a superior reticle, the Gen II mildot, on which Premier owns a patent, in the first focal plane in Leupold scopes.

IMO, the Gen II reticle is the best milliradian reticle there is, combining precision with lowlight capability, and I own three scopes with that reticle.

However, a disagreement between Leupold and Premier resulted in an agreement that Premier would no longer replace reticles in Leupold scopes, which is a pity.

Leupold was late in coming to the party with FFP reticles, and even later in realizing the utility of mil/mil scopes with 0.1 mil adjustments. They're behind the curve, and the jury is still out on whether they are trying very hard to catch up to the trend in tactical scopes.

And they may not much care. Most of their market is apparently in scopes for hunters, and other companies, notably Premier, Nightforce, and S&B are taking pretty good care of tactical shooters, albeit at prices which Leupold customers appear to be currently unwilling to pay.
