Re: Couple good books
Three books about post-911 American military operations in Afghanistan:
Not a Good Day to Die, by Sean Naylor, Army Times writer on the ground.
Kill Bin Laden: A Delta Force Commander's Account, by Dalton Fury, Delta operator on the ground.
Jawbreaker, by Gary Bernsten, CIA commander on the ground.
These are personal, eye witness, eye-opening accounts, and therefore probably the truth. Bush supporters will not like these accounts of what happened, and what didn't happen, in Aphgan the Winter of 2001.
Operators were unable to secure approval to kill Bin Laden the Winter after 9-11 attacks on the World Trade Center.
An Air Force cargo plane pilot / General was allowed command of Anaconda, f'ed it up, got men killed, and experienced no consequences! How many died violent deaths.... our own brothers and others as well during the months and years before sops finally killed him last year? A sad, sad truth, indeed.
