Rifle Scopes Couple of scope rarely seen for sale used?

I've been watching the boards for a while, looking to pick up some glass. I would really love a ST10 but I think it's going to be a little out of my price range.

One thing that I've noticed is that there are some models I rarely see available used. One is the new SS 3-9x42 (or the 10x HD), another is the Viper 6.5-20. Based on what I've seen in the last year or so, both seem to have sold well. What's your opinion on why so few have shown up used? Are there others like this that I didn't mention?

You could also list Xotic scopes to the list of seldom seen for sale.
I own ST-10, 10 HD, and Vortex 6.5-20. All are good scopes, as I am sure the SS 3-9 is. The 2 SS scopes are newer so people who bought them have had less time for their wants or needs to have changed enough to warrant a different scope. The Vortex is a great little scope but isn't really 'tactical' so people buy it and use it for what it is. I have it on a 22 rifle.
I have sold several scopes because I needed money so I sold what would bring the most money. Heritage or Vortex Viper, which one do you think would bring the most money ? I didn't keep the Viper because I thought it was a better scope than the Heritage.

I own a Vortex Viper 6.5-20 and a SS 3-9. Neather is for sale because I like them, they offer great value and have great warranties. If I'm going to sell a scope it will be a Leupold or Bushnell.

How about Counter Sniper!!!! They don't come up for resale at all. I think they just end up in the trash.

Even the recycling places or landfills won't even take them.
They're afraid of cross contamination making any recyclable item unusable.
