Couple of simple questions.

My buddy has a adapter on his rem 700 trigger that makes it wider. What is that called and where can i get one?

Another question. Where is the best place to buy this stuff that has it all in stock.

Cheek pad with pocket.
Burris tactical rings 1 inch.
Egw 1 piece 20 moa SA base.
This trigger adapter.


One last question. What ring height would you suggest for 1000 yard shooting?

The trigger part you are looking for is called a "shoe" or "trigger shoe". Not sure where you can track one down, but if you run a Google search for REMINGTON 700 TRIGGER SHOE, I am sure you'll get a ton of results.

As for the other parts/accessories...try SWFA or MidwayUSA for the base/rings and try Triad Tactical for the Eagle stock pack. Be advised...almost nobody has the stock packs at this time. Keep an eye out on the for sale forums here and elsewhere.

On your ring height question...the lower...the better.

Are you sure he didnt just replace the trigger? Some of the aftermarkets (like the rifle basix) are much wider than the factory one.

Regardless, you can probably get it and all the rest of the things on your list from midwayusa.

ring height depends on what scope not how far you are shooting (your shooting position will be the same).
