So, I may be weird … but I just realized that while I had Covid this week that I am super stir crazy while doing my 5 day quarantine at home and start spending large sums of money. Last time I had it was last spring and I bought 2 damn scope during it… this time I found myself looking at buying a AMP Annealer yesterday and today I have been seconds short of buying a Omega Planet Ocean GMT… not that either of these are new things I think about buying, but I actually had to reason with myself so I didn’t buy either of them.

Anyone else experience this weird urge to buy random stuff while they were stuck at home quarantining?

And if you can’t tell, the 2 times I have known that I have he’d this damn thing it has been like a cheesy cold making me a bit tired. But also causing me to get super stir crazy.

Sure, economies around the world start crashing so Klausy Schwab and his homies convince everyone the end is near to stimulate spending. Everyone figures it's teotwawki and burns through their savings, which props up the economies just long enough for the insiders to cash out and bail to the Caymans or wherever. What would have been a slowdown turns into the big D, and those who survive wind up eating bugs.

The Borg welcomes you.
You have been successfully programmed.
Did you feel better after buying things? No? Well, if you buy a shiny new widget you will. Still not feeling better? Turn off the TV and stay away from the WWW right after watching George Carlin on why people need basements and garages.
The person that dies with the most stuff doesn't win anything.

Maybe subconsciously you thought you were going to die and buying these items would give you a reason to pull through. 🤔

I had last spring and the body aches were a fare bit worse this this time.

But long story short, we love on a small island and onenof my kids brought it home from sports travel last week apparently. I get a call to pick them up at school, I did and ran them home. When I got back to my office I thought for the sake of my Co-workers I better test myself, and what do you know I popped positive on e different tests, and was then I went by the clinic/hospital for them to do their lab test one.... two hours latter got a phone call that I indeed had covid... again.

Fast forward to today, day 5 since I popped with it, and I have some sinus congestion, and that is about it. This time like the last time felt like a overblown cold... I have been super sick before and this thing definitely didn't take me out completely... Noro-Virus now that one wrecked me... I got so dehydrated I needed a IV on with that damn thing.

Never had this problem. When I get sick, I go to work and don’t have time to shop online.

So you are one of the ones that likes to show up sick and get everybody else sick rather than doing the decent thing and staying home until you are a bit better so you don't get other sick?

people are still getting covid? was pretty sure that was over, did I miss the new memo?
There isn’t a new memo, the old one was just fraudulent. But yes, people are still getting sick. And lots of people also don’t seem to have much self control

Can't go to work with the covid...it is Borough and State policy. Normally I work when sick as well. Covid changed the rules on that though.. I even tried to just do surveillance in my UC car and chief said nope.

I missed being part of a 22lb meth bust while sitting at home, to add insult to injury.

Toxic Masculinity.
I keep hearing this term, still haven't figured out what it means.

We tell each other to steer clear if we have to work together, otherwise I work a job that's 98% independent work, in the middle of Wyoming, outside, with my own truck and my own office with my own door to the outdoors. Independent truck drivers have more person to person contact than I do because I just piss on the side of the tracks and they have to use a truck stop most of the time.

Otherwise, my employer wants us to show up to work sick. If they didn't want us to show up infectious or otherwise, they would give us sick days. I care exactly as much as they do.

So you're a bootlicker on top of all that......

Doc

Toxic masculinity……. To figure out what it means, if that’s even possible, you would have to ask a human identifying as a female. You know, the ones who know they would be hunted from horse back if it was legal…….they are the ones to ask.

That's funny... I definitely wouldn't lick my boots after you saw the places I go in and out of, but you can if you like.... I work as a investigator on a regional drug interdiction team, with focus on interdicting narcotics traveling through our region/state from source cities, but if you are ok with the current Meth, Heroin and Fentanyl situations where you live then shit on those actively trying to choke off the supply.

I dont chase users, I chase traffickers.... One of my buddies in another state interdicted a large quantity of fentanyl pills the other day, and by large he described it as big black trash bags full, real scary shit.

I get really upset if someone comes in to work and gets me sick beacuse they didn't simply stay home and enjoy the huge amount of sick days they get each year.

I by the same token will stay home if I actually have a fever and am sick with something that could spread to others, as a common courtesy to them.

Perhaps it's because I have more experience in containing and minimizing disruptions that are caused by disease outbreaks and that's always like the first and best way to start, tell the sick people to stay home / in bed / away from others if possible until they feel better and aren't going to get others sick. It also usually helps folks heal fast.

But of course what do I know, I'm just like one of the folks that actually remembers back in the day when a big wave of these "omg you could die from it" diseases were kind of something that regularly happened and you simply did common sense, courteous things like, trying your best not to get others sick if you could help it.

Seem to remember a thing about a strike revolving around sick time and our Alzheimer’s leader was ready to order the union back to work.

So much for party of the working man.

What I am seeing is…..don’t get vaccinated….you won’t get sick.

Don’t get tested.

You won’t get COVID.

Even if you do get tested doesn’t mean you have COVID.

Does it count if it was already planned beforehand because the last time I got Covid I ended up engaged by the end of it.

What’s a sick day?

Pretty much. Had it once, might have had it again but was weak shit if I did, don’t know for sure because I haven’t taken a test since Trump left office and damn sure never got the clot shot. I do make sure to cough on every manager that comes around though, it’s actually quite funny.

And we all know the potato goes to the highest bidder.

Start a regimen of Selenium and Zinc, with vitamin D3. You'll never get a cold or viral infection again. The Selenium and Zinc keep the virus from attaching to your cell walls. I used to always get a cold of flu but in the 3 years Ive been taking the above, not a sniffle.

Yup! Work had to kick me out when I got it. Covid wasn't bad but the pneumonia was horrible!

This^^^ x 1000! The "only" reason I pulled thru was a conversation I had with myself. "Self? WE ARE NOT FUCKING DYING! The Vudoo isn't here yet!"

I guess I do. In general being in quarantine always gets somehow boring and I try to find adventures for myself. Not that I buy different things during quarantine, but I do other things. For example, I do various sports
By sports you mean auto asphyxiation masturbation to midget scat porn? What does ChatGPT recommend for anal excitement? Who does #2 work for?
